The Smithsonian's "Four Wheels and a Board" Book

The story of skateboarding is simply too big for one book, but Betsy Gordon and Jane Rogers from the Smithsonian give it the ol’ college try. Using items from the museum’s collection, this tome offers new insights to the bigger plot points in our history. From its humble roots on the waves to its modern iteration as an international cultural phenomenon, they take it decade by decade with the movers and shakers that made it happen. Rodney Mullen, Tony Hawk, Craig Stecyk, Ted Barrow and an esteemed list of authors lend their voices to add authenticity on every page. The mag even gave them a few pieces. Check the spreads and then pick up a copy here.
