Volcom's "Microwave" Premiere photos

Melbourne packed in for the first screening of Volcom’s new feature Microwave. It felt less like a premiere and more like the van had parked inside the venue. The film’s been cooking for two years, from San Francisco to Pittsburgh, across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The miles flew by and time zones blurred with the energy bouncing inside that metal box. The whole squad made it out, with old heads in the back and young ones pressed up front. Feel the frequency! —Shane Azar

Volcom's "Microwave" Premiere photosFirst stop, Melbourne! The good people at Lulie Tavern welcomed us with open arms

The lads start arriving. Lucien, Harry, Eniz, welcome to Australia. As for Simon, he's pretty much a local

He’s probably talking about surfing

Big Boss Shane Azar making sure the audio was crispy

Then he proceeds to hand out the “sacred beer band”

To which Lucien, Rob and Adam then use the “sacred beer band”

Doobie arrives!

And proceeds to have a good time as per usual

Noah Deane had to be there. No waves in sight but a valuable member of the double-parked gang

Tai Jennison, Volcom content creator and the world’s nicest guy. Oh yeah, he’s Azar’s right hand man too

Joel Hanlon and Yeah Rad whipped up a Microwave zine. Get yours, while supplies last

Theo Clarke got his, and got caught in the act of looking at himself kickflip

Simon made it in there, of course

Rob Pace and Theo enjoy some expensive drinks before they blow the crowd's mind

Game respect game, Hayley and Doobie

Kai felt that Microwave heat

Looks like the whole crowd loved it. Azar’s relieved

If it’s on a sticker, it must be true. The frequency is definitely still out there. Amazing effort from all the crew involved. Keep your eyes peeled for Volcom’s Microwave, live on Thrasher, March 27th. Over and out
